About SearchMaxResults.

I uploaded “Rakushō no Goku No.21″on May 30. And it gave me a trouble. Why? I had made a link for searching on my English blog’s right sidebar and the top page. It is the link which gives you all posts of “Rakushō no Goku” in ascending order, when you click it. But its limit is 20 posts.

Though I changed 20 into 40 to remedy in the link, it didn’t work because default set value of “SearchMaxResults” was very strong.
I made a question at Movable Type Forums and had an answer from Nick. By his advice, I wrote “SearchMaxResults 40” in my mt-config.cgi file. It worked, but I had another problem. This change reflected to all of the results by mt-search.cgi. What I want is only to work when I use the link as an external one.

So, yesterday I searched for the tag <$mt:SearchMaxResults$> in my template files. I found them in two places, at Search and Syndication Widgets. I rewrote <$mt:SearchMaxResults$> => 20. Finally, the link has functioned as expected. 🙂

Update #15.

On May 25th, Movable Type 5.1 was released. So I upgraded my MT, and I used this opportunity to some updates, too.

    2. Stop apache httpd

    5. Probably, I needn’t ‘Stop apache’. But I swear I need ‘Restart’. 😛

Edit2(May 27): I forgot to take care of “MT-Akismet”. So I’ve done it.

How to install “MT-Akismet”.

I’ve had a lot of spams since I posted “Very strong earthquake hits Northern Japan.” So, I decided to install “MT-Akismet” to my English blog.

   I described its procedure below.

  1. Download and unpack mt-akismet-1.1.tar.gz
  2. To adjust my environment, add the line “#!G:/perl/bin/perl -w” to the beginning of the program “mt-akismet.pl”.
  3. Where mt is Movable Type application directory, transfer the contents
of the following distribution directories to

       extlib/MT/Akismet.pm     -> mt/extlib/MT/Akismet.pm
plugins -> mt/plugins [Note] Except "README".
  4. Sign in my MT dashboard.
       System Overview   ->  Tools   ->  Plugins   -> MT-Akismet   ->   Settings
  5. Type my “API Key” in the box and save changes.
  6. Go to My blog’s Plugin Settings and set Junk Score Weight to 5.

And I’ll see how it works.   😀

Does anyone have the same error on your apache’s error_log?

I’ve become to have the error “defined(%hash) is deprecated” since I updated my ActivePerl from ver.5.10.1.1007 to 5.12.1.1201.   So, I omitted the “defined()” on the programs.

But, when I omitted the “defined()” of the program “Maketext.pm”, I had another error ‘”MT::L10N::***::Lexicon” used only once: possible typo’ or something.   Now, I control this error by adding the line “no warnings qw(once);” at the beginning of the “Maketext.pm”.

But why isn’t this improved even though the MTOS progresses from ver.5.01 to 5.04?   Or am I the only person who has this on apache’s error_log?   That can’t be possible!  😉

BEWARE, SPAM Bills!

Yesterday, I got an email like the figure right. Turned letters are my WhoIs information, so everybody can know it. This mail, well, is doubtfully-looking.
I googled by its domain name italiandesignerbrands.com and found some, SPAM Bills?, italiandesignerbrands.com – Italian Designer Brands, and so on. Especially, I took an interested in the description of “DomainTools” indeed.
The mail has two links, ‘SECURE ONLINE PAYMENT —> http://registrationdom.com/order/BoSgRQMWamy7EfIZaoK4LA%3D%3D’, and, ‘Click here to unsubscribe —> http://registrationdom.com/unsubscribe/RKmgXMd2HqG7EfIZaoK4LA%3D%3D’. When googling by registrationdom.com, I found Japanese site, サーチエンジン・レジストレーション?詐欺?

By the way, this mail isn’t so doubtful? Does someone to pay by this instruction exist? Well, if you click the links, you might encounter “Keylogger” or “Password Stealer”, even if you don’t pay some money, I guess.

Very strong earthquake hits Northern Japan.

It happened at 14:46. I was in my office. Somebody who probably found the news on the net turned on a TV. That time JMA announced it’s M7.9. But they changed from M7.9 to M8.8. during about three hours. This is the strongest quake in the history of the observation in Japan. The seismic center was at 38.0°N, 142.9°E, at a depth of about 10 kilometers.

Oh! lately,I mean “this decade”, all there and here are shaking in Pacific rim area. JMA-Earthquake Information

EDIT:(Mar/12)
JMA announced new data about the quake. They say its depth is about 24 kilometers though still a tentative value and name this quake “The 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake”.
I live in Kyushu, so I have no infections from it. But some of my relatives live in Kanto region and I have not been in contact with one of them yet. I’m really worried.

EDIT2:(Mar/12 9:15a.m.)
Now, I get a call from her. What a relief!

Unusually cold?

Has this winter unusually been cold in Japan, as I suspected?

Last year, I wrote about 梅花 in my blog on Feb. 21st. At that time I uploaded a picture of 梅花 in full bloom and said they had began to unfold around Feb. 10th. But this year, I saw first two or three flowers on the tree this morning. The time of bloom is almost two weeks later than last year.

Although having said that, spring is surely approaching my house. 🙂

This time, MySQL changed from 5.1 to 5.5. Its installed and server directory changed, too. So, it was necessary for me to recreate databases and to import data.
