Piling up.

   What is “Piling up”? It’s snow. In this winter, I mean from Dec. 2010 to now, we have had snow than usual. My house is in Kyushu which is one of the four big islands in Japan, and its latitude is about 33.5°N. This is not so different from Islamabad’s latitude, Baghdad’s, Tripoli’s, and Los Angeles’s. We have snow every year in my town. But my town isn’t located in a heavy snow area. “Piling up” doesn’t happen so often. So, when it happens, I’m fun like a child. 🙂

   It’s still snowing though 3:30PM now. I took pictures around 8:30AM. I’ll show you them. 😉

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! It is the beginning of a new year.

   This is the year of the Rabbit, according to the Oriental Zodiac. In Japan, we hail the year of the Rabbit as a year of progress. But I hope this year will produce the peace to people who live in all over the world.

Gods bless you, guys!

Silent Night.

   I’ve watched “Silent Night“. It’s one of episodes of TV dramas “NCIS (#6.11)”.

   When Gibbs said “If I had one wish for Christmas, it would be to hug my daughter. That can never be… But you have that chance.”, I was so touched that I could almost cry tears.

   If my daughter is still alive, she is a full-grown woman now. But she never gets old anymore.

   Both mother and father, who lost their child, long to see the child grown up forever. Won’t you think so?

   Why do I update my server applications at short intervals? Because my server’s OS is a Windows that has a lot of opportunities of cyber attacks than Linuxes, I always try to keep my system updated.

The nightmare is finally over.

   Fortunately, the nightmare was just over as a nightmare. I heard a good news about the Chile mine accident. Yesterday, all thirty-three miners were safely back on the surface after spending 10 weeks underground. How happy they are!

   Until 70s, my home town had some coal mines. They naturally had some mine accidents for those years. Of course, it’s not natural for victim’s family. I’m surprised with these 33 miners surviving for as long as over two months. The mine is probably very very bigger than mines I imagine. So they would have been able to survive until now.

   Anyway, I want to say “Congratulations!!” for all people concerned.

Is that a bug?

After I updated “Apache, Perl, Mysql, and ImageMagick” last time, I have had errors “defined(%hash) is deprecated at ./lib/./lib/jcode.pl line xxx” and “(Maybe you should just omit the defined()?)” on the Apache error.log.

Though I thought it depends on the Perl’s version, I felt some strange because I could not find any information on the net. But tonight I found out the below finally.
https://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=6392

So, I changed two lines of jcode.pl.
Line 684    &init_z2h_euc unless defined %z2h_euc;
                                   —–>>     &init_z2h_euc unless %z2h_euc;
Line 693    &init_z2h_sjis unless defined %z2h_sjis;
                                   —–>>      &init_z2h_sjis unless %z2h_sjis;

I also did DBD.pm and Maketext.pm.
Line 14     unless (defined %{“${subclass}::”}) {
                                   —–>>      unless (%{“${subclass}::”}) {
Line 404   if defined(%{$module . ‘::Lexicon’}) or defined(@{$module . ‘::ISA’});
                                   —–>>      if (%{$module . ‘::Lexicon’}) or (@{$module . ‘::ISA’});

These had no problems with the old perl, but the new one might become strict about them.

ArgoSoft MailServer(Freeware) —->> XMailServer

   I have always wanted to change my Mail Server because ArgoSoft MailServer(Freeware) which I use became an old-fashioned one. The old-fashioned means unsafe about its security. On 13th Sep, I had a large number of “Requested POP3 connection from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx” on the log file again. All of them failed to request because of using wrong password, but ArgoSoft MailServer(Freeware) is too undefended for it. I want some weapons. Besides, I’d like to learn about “SSL/TLS” and “port25 blocking” ……

   So, I’ve installed “XMailServer” today. If you need more details, please have a look below.
   ArgoSoft MailServer(Freeware)からXMailServerへ。

The blog preferences.

I’ve changed one of this blog preferences.
From “to accept trackbacks” to “to deny trackbacks”.

Because spams are very annoying.
