In the morning, I had nothing wrong, when I did it. But I did it again around 1 p.m., I had a trouble. What did I do? I wanted to receive my mails from de.yahoo.com.
After entering Yahoo!-ID and Passwort, I clicked [Anmelden] button. Sooner I got the warning page.
So, I changed my Passwort.
On Yahoo! DEUTSCHLAND, something wrong happened?? Does someone have any information?

Today, I visited Takasumi jinja(高住神社) as the Hatsumōde(初詣) five days late. Around the shrine the snow stuck to the ground, and the temperature was -2℃ around 2p.m. I drew omikuji and bought the Tengu(天狗) version Hikosan garagara as a charm to ward off evil spirits for my house.

Yesterday, I finally had a windows8 upgrade DVD package.
After this, I made an additional order of the Package because I found the information we would be able to have a clean install of Windows8 if we upgraded from the older 32 bit Windows to the 64 bit Windows8. I did it on Dec. 6th, Japan time, and they sent a shipping advice by email on Dec. 10th. Now, 25th. It took tooooooo long despite it was via AirMail.
Anyway I got it, so, I wanted to have a clean install for my laptop. Of course, if you want the same thing as me, you need to know your pc supporting 64 bit or not before your installation. Probably, you can find the supporting information at your pc system property, on the manual, or on the laptop bottom label. You can’t find the information, then you could use Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. Maybe, it tells you your pc supporting 64 bit or not.
I know my laptop, an Endeavor NJ2100, supports 64 bit. But I found a severe issue. Its BIOS does not support Memory Remap Feature. The vender does not supply the newer BIOS anymore. I think its main-board probably an ASUSTeK product. But the vender, Epson Direct, never tells us about it. If I have no exact knowledge about it, to update my BIOS is very dangerous. So I gave up to install the 64 bit windows8 to my pc.
I booted my laptop from the upgrade DVD 32 bit version.
If you do the same thing, you can see two install options, Upgrade and Custom. You must select the option, Custom. Then, you must delete your old Windows system partition first. After that, you can go the next step of the installation. Your clean install of Windows 8 does not depend on 32 bit version or 64 bit version. You can do it for either case.
My installation finished without hitch.
After first login of my Windows8, I made the Safe mode entry for being on the safe side when an incident happens.
Now, I can use “Safe Mode”. Then I installed my custom drivers.
About Ricoh xxx Host Controllers and High Definition Audio, I installed the drivers by the NJ2100 vender. For SiS Mirage 3 Graphics driver, I installed R529_Logo.zip from SiS DOWNLOAD CENTER.
That’s it.
By the way, you need some software to watch a DVD Video on Windows8. Until Jun.31st, you can get a Windows Media Center product key for free. You have it and can watch the DVD video on your pc. (^^)

I forgot to write.
When I booted from the upgrade DVD, it did not start if the laptop didn’t have the older version Windows on its hard disk. The reason was only I was clumsy, or, at the boot time the DVD might have some program to check. The DVD is for a upgrade version, so, this behavior might be natural for itself, I guess.

After upgrading Windows8, I had an issue about the sound on my laptop. When I watch a video or listen to music, my Win8 stops responding. Today I found the page (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2727113) saying about it (now already deleted – 2013.5.16). The page says “This problem is resolved in the release versions of Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.”. But on my laptop, it is NOT fixed. They provide an update, but, I cannot use it for my laptop because this is only for Windows 8 Release Preview or Windows Server 2012 Release Candidate. So, I did a workaround the page says.
Start cmd.exe as an Administrator
bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes
That’s all. Now, my laptop multimedia processes do not hang anymore. Happy!!

On Dec. 5th, as Windows8 has quite a reputation, I decided to upgrade my laptop OS from WindowsXP Pro to Windows8 Pro. The laptop is an Endeavor NJ2100 and my main pc. Its WindowsXP is a Downgrade version of Windows Vista. I bought it on March, 2008. The vender says nothing about Windows8 on NJ2100 though I visited its site. So, I made my preliminary preparation carefully for upgrading.
Anyway, I did the clean install of Windows Vista.
Windows8 does not have the drivers of Ricoh xxx Host Controllers (See the right image), so I used my Vista driver’s CD that I had burned drivers from the vender partition of the hard drive on the pc.I’ll show you my laptop specifications. Please take a look at the table below.

Today, I found I couldn’t use the stereo mixer, and at that time my High Definition Audio driver had its provider and version as the image right indicates.
It botherd me, so, I downloaded the file Vista_Win7_Win8_R270.zip from the Realtek official site and updated my High Definition Audio driver. Now I can see my stereo mixer like this.

After upgrading, the best resolution I’d use was 1280×800. Before that, I had used it as 1440×900. So I looked for the newer SiS Mirage 3 Graphics driver. Then, I downloaded R529_Logo.zip from SiS DOWNLOAD CENTER and updated my driver. Now I get the resolution 1440×900.
Besides, my Windows experience index score of Graphics improved from 2.0 to 2.6. Still low, but ……
I downed my High Definition Audio driver version from 6.0.1.6662 to 6.0.1.5506 because of having terrible noise recording after upgrading to Win8. Both of them were made by Realtek. Ver. 6.0.1.6662 is the current latest driver. Ver. 6.0.1.5506 is older and for Windows Vista driver, but it is the genuine driver of my NJ2100 vender. For a security problem the latest is best. But, for sound quality it is a complete different story. This time again, I have good result by this downing version. The noise has gone.

Now, the end of November, I keenly feel time is passing so fast. Don’t you feel so? These days, it suddenly gets really cold. I’m expecting snow for the beginning of the next month.
Today, I called on two of my friends for something, but one was absent. As I had free time until visiting another appointment, I went to the book store. After then, I finished something to do.
When I came back to my place, I saw a Grey Heron on my garage roof. I see Grey Herons in the river or rice fields almost every day, but, this sighting was for the first time in my place. Wow!!
These days, autumn is at its height and the leaves are at their peak color in Japan. When I came back to Japan, I always wanted to go to Momijigari(紅葉狩). But, weather is good when I have no time, I have free time when weather is bad. So, my visit was delayed about for a week. Last weekend, weather was bad again.
Today, it was from cloudy to sunny. I went to the mountain I sometimes wrote about here. For years, when I go there, I only visit Hōheiden(奉幣殿)， today I decided to call on Takasumi jinja(高住神社). It is also called Buzenbō(豊前坊). Eight Tengu(八天狗) of Buzenbō(豊前坊) are famous in the past, and they are written in Noh(能) “Kurama(鞍馬)” a little.
By the way, I saw autumn leaves are very beautiful. I share some of them with you!!
Recently, I often go swimming as I told before and drive a narrow mountain road to reach to my pool. Today, I met a deer on my way, when I went swimming as usual. Around 6:15p.m., but already dark. When it was suddenly caught in car headlights, I almost ran it down to death. It was for the first time for me to meet a deer on this mountain road. I sometimes see wild animals, for example, tamukis (タヌキ), itachis (イタチ). It is a pity itachis are very often run down to death because they are small and they have a habit of suddenly crossing a road. A deer, however, is a complete different story. If my car hit it, the car might be broken. When go swimming, I have no cellphone and almost no money. Besides, few houses are located along the route. I am horrified by thought of a car accident occurring.
Oh, Deer! Please care of yourself, and, it will also guard me. (^^;)
By the way, one of my friends told me his pc became infected by a one-click ware while his net surfing. I disabled its network, examined his pc, and found a malware which uses mshta.exe and HTA for the wrong purpose. It makes a popup windows every 5 minutes. I strongly recommended him to recovery the windows OS.
Be that as it may, he needs to stop popups to rescue some data on the hard-drive. I deleted entries on the task scheduler and the msconfig startup. Popups stopped. But who knows about his pc is complete safe or not?!

On Sep. 28, I saw Noh(能) “Adachigahara(安達原)” at the Hall nearby. At the same time, they staged Kyōgen(狂言) “Bōshibari(棒縛り)”, and Noh “Futarishizuka(二人静)” as an opening act(舞囃子). In 舞囃子, actors have no mask and perform a main part of the Noh play.
Three plays were performed in the order below.
Though I often go and see Kyōgen, this is the first live Noh play I have ever seen. Noh is very closely related with Kyōgen and their history is similar in length. But nowadays, we have less chance of seeing Noh than seeing Kyōgen. This time, we had no famous actors in the performers, but they were good shows.
By the way, actually I love Kyōgen than Kabuki. And, only “Bōshibari(棒縛り)” I can find on YouTube. Please click the link and enjoy it!!
Today, it’s 15th of August by our old calendar(旧暦). It’s time for “Otsukimi(お月見)”. But, I cannot see the full moon from my house because of thick clouds.
Japan has the typhoon season now. Actually, we still have the aftereffect of Tropical Storm Jelawat(台風17号) in Kyūshū area today. See the right image.
“お月見” and “台風”, both of them are features of autumn in Japan. One is good, the other is bad. The night happens to coincide with a typhoon might be natural.

Look!! I saw a clear moon on Oct. 1st and took the picture. When we take a good hard look at the image, we can get the upper right-hand of the moon wanes a little. But, it’s O.K. because it’s beautiful. Don’t you think so? (^o^)
