Yesterday, JAXA confirmed that “Hayabusa2” is cruising on Ryugu after measuring and calculating the post-Earth-swing-by orbit.
An Earth swing-by operation of the “Hayabusa2” was performed on the night of 2015 Dec 3 JST. They were measuring and calculating until yesterday. I was worrying that it would have success or failure. FHさん, one of my Japanese blog visitors, told me a good news about it yesterday. He got it on radio news while working. Congratulation, Hayabusa2!!
It sent some pictures and one of them is a precious and beautiful image of the Earth. You can see Antarctica on it. Wow!
