Update information      Edit(Aug.6)

   Today, I upgraded my NJ2100 OS from Windows8.1 Pro(x86) to Windows10 Pro(x86).

   I used the media creation tool. This time, I selected the option ‘Upgrade this PC now’ and ‘Keep Windows settings, personal files, and apps’. The PC had just 13.2 GB as free spaces on its C drive. But it brought no problems at the upgrade.

   The keeping apps I can use without re-installing. Happy.

Edit(Aug.6):
   For just my reminders

  • When I began to use Win8.1 Pro(x86), it brought a trouble about old usb drives. So I added the following key to the NJ2100 Registry. 0411 is its vid, maybe it means BUFFALO, and 002B is its pid.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlusbstor411002B]
    "DeviceHackFlags"=dword:00000400
    But after upgrading, I found the key gone. So I added it again.
  • NJ2100’s has SiS Mirage 3 Graphics, and its genuine latest driver is R529_Logo.zip. But it doesn’t work well any more. We have no choice but to put up with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter (~_^;). So the resolution is 1280 x 768 now.
  • NJ2100’s Audio accepts the latest Realtek High Definition Audio driver, but it gives a lot of noise. So you’d better install Microsoft High Definition Audio driver. When we installed it, we cannot use the mixer feature anymore.
